The Station Saver is an Automation Control System that integrates with existing electrical systems and controls and operates various programmed equipment and appliances.
Most commonly, The Station Saver is incorporated to a station house to automatically disable the kitchen appliances when the crew must leave to a call-out.
The system is incorporated into the existing Fire Alarm, klaxon or alert system to shut-off predetermined appliances and equipment.
Example:
Call-out Alert Sounds, Station Saver Triggers, then displays a countdown timer and warning tone and blinking lights, in the kitchen(~10-30 seconds) that it is about to shut off the selected outlets and the cooking appliances (Gas Stove via electro-mechanical shutoff valve).
If a crew member is going to stay and monitor the cooking, they simply press the reset button to continue with kitchen operations, otherwise the countdown timer will display the time left till the appliances shut off. Upon returning to the station house, the crew presses the reset button and the outlets power back on and the system will turn the gas back on to continue cooking. Safety sensors will monitor for any leaking gas, smoke or flames.
